How to do it
5 stepsStand on the middle of a resistance band and hold the handles with your palms facing your thighs. Adjust the band so there is slight tension with your arms at your sides.
Keep a soft bend in your elbows and your back straight.
Exhale and raise both arms out to the sides until your hands are just above shoulder height. Rotate your wrists slightly as if pouring from a jug.
Pause for a second at the top.
Inhale and lower your arms slowly to the start. Repeat for the planned reps.
Shrugging up toward your ears takes over from the side delts. Lower the resistance and keep your shoulders relaxed.
Dumbbells or a cable pulley can replace the band when you want a different feel.
